North Ealing Wine Tasting Society

Informal and unpretentious

glass of wine North Ealing Wine Tasting Society or NEWTS as it is more affectionately known is a local wine tasting group that runs monthly wine tastings, held in the St Barnabus Millenium Hall. We usually meet on the last Friday of each month, with a break in July and August.

We're an informal and unpretentious group and try to run a wide range of tastings, covering both well known and lesser known wines and wine regions of the world. We invite speakers from a number of sources, including independent speakers from the Institute of Wine Educators and representatives of the large wine merchants and supermarkets.

Recent speakers have included master of Wine Patricia Stefanowicz, who introduced us to the glories of Pinot Noir and Mary Pateras, who runs her own company importing wine from Greece.

Above all we like our tastings to be fun.

There's no membership fee. We operate a 'pay as you go' system and most tastings cost £15. If you'd like to go on our mailing list or simply find out more about us, please call me, Chris Moxey, on 020 8566 4134 - or Jeremy Pearson on 020 8997 4459
