The Reluctant Runner Finds Herself in A Black Hole

But manages to come out the other side

I think me and George (my Garmin) are a match made in heaven as it would appear neither of us really want to run.

As I explained last time I got George in a desperate attempt to find some motivation to go outdoors and do something other than walk, but it seems he is as reluctant as me.

The weather was a bit all over the place last week, and, being a fairweather type, any excuse to stay inside works. Storm Katie was one such great reason.

However, I psyched myself up; had music ready to blast, gum to chew and even did a warm up - so I was totally ready to run. But George was having none of it. The GPS signal just wasn't picking up at all - do I live in a black hole? (Hmm, if I do perhaps I should apply for a council tax rebate?)

Eventually (two blocks away from the house) it started. I had almost given up hope by then and was going to turn back....

BUT I DIDN'T!!

Yay! That is a victory ..of sorts isn't it?

Yes, I know it's hilarious compared to these ladies, but as you may have gathered I'm in a completely different league - the Reluctant Runners League (anyone care to join me?)

So, I ran...a bit, possibly a bit more than George told me though because of the GPS black hole.

It was....ok.

That's the best you will get out of me this week, but ok is much better than awful is it?

Until next time, happy running everyone!

(No idea who Charlie is, but I quite like this sentiment!)
