Both Ealing and Hounslow Councils have issued an alert following the death of two people over the Bank Holiday weekend.

It is believed that they died after taking unidentified blue pills that have been circulating in the Southall area. The victims were together and both are believed to have ingested the same drugs.

The councils have warned that there is no way of knowing what is in any pill or drug that is bought illegally, or how your body will react.

If you, or anyone you are with, starts to feel unwell after taking any pill or drug, go to your nearest Accident and Emergency department or call 999. Always seek medical attention and do not try to sleep it off or drink lots of water.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
