Picture: The Viaduct pub in Hanwell
June 18, 2025
With no Hanwell Carnival being held this year, the team behind the event have organised a Family Day this Saturday (21 June).
The event at the Viaduct pub is part of a series of fundraisers which aim to provide the finances necessary for Hanwell Carnival 2026.
There will be many activities including children's entertainment, face painting, choirs, bands, traditional games & stalls.
All acts and volunteers are giving up their time for free in order to raise funds for the popular carnival.
The day is divided into two sessions —from 12 PM to 3 PM and from 4 PM to 7 PM. Tickets are limited, so be sure to secure yours on this link.
The organisers have kept entrance prices low (adults £5, under 12s £3) to ensure everyone can join in the fun. By purchasing a ticket and participating in this event, you’re playing a crucial role in supporting the future of the Hanwell Carnival.
The pub’s garden will be transformed into a children's area, complete with entertainment from Froggle Parties and Summers Princess Parties. Kids will also enjoy face painting by Si James and drama sessions run by Empower Arts UK.
Both sessions will feature live performances and DJs. You can look forward to performances by the Hanwell Ukulele Group and Rock Choir to name a couple.
.
In the stable bar area, you will be able to browse a variety of artisan stalls offering handmade items, jewellery, paintings, and gifts, reminiscent of the craft tent at the Hanwell Carnival.
There will be a licensed bar in the car park with BBQ food, ice cream, and old-fashioned fairground games, including hook a duck and wheel of fortune.
Each session will include a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses such as hairdressers, golf clubs, pubs, cafes, restaurants, and more.
