Helicopter and firearms officers deployed Saturday night
A 23 year old man has been charged with attempted murder after two police officers were shot at in Perivale.
The officers tried to pull over a motorist spotted using a mobile phone while driving on the A40 on Saturday night, but he failed to stop.
The shot was fired in Lily Gardens, but the officers were not injured.
Ryan Johnson, 23, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder. He has been remanded in custody.
A trial date has been set for September 6 at Isleworth Crown Court.
