Helicopter and firearms officers deployed Saturday night
Police marksman and a helicopter were deployed in Perivale on Saturday after a gun was fired when officers tried to stop a motorist using his mobile phone.
According to latest reports two unarmed traffic officers saw a driver on the A40 on the phone.
They tried to pull him over but he refused to stop and drove into Lily Gardens before running off.
The officers chased the man and a shot was fired, but they were not hit.
A 23-year-old man was arrested nearby and is being questioned.
