Training Programme For Carers

Help available for anyone who looks after another adult

Would you like to go on a free course called Caring with Confidence?

Carers Connect will be running a series of seven sessions, on Fridays, from 11:00am to 2:00pm, starting on 23 October, at 46 South Ealing Road, W5 4QA.

Caring with Confidence is a new FREE training programme, designed by carers, for carers. The project is aimed at helping adult carers to improve their own situation and that of the person they care for by building on your skills, sharing coping strategies and helping you to balance your caring role with finding time for yourself.

The first session, Finding Your Way, will give you a flavour of what is to come and more information about the topics covered by the other six. You can then decide if you would like to come to all of them, or just choose a couple. It’s up to you.

You do not have to register with Social Services to come along, you just have to be over 18 and caring for someone who cannot manage without you. If you would like to come, but cannot leave the person you care for, we may be able to pay for respite care. We may also be able to help with your transport costs.
