It's Not All Jam and Jerusalem

Find out for yourself - there's a new 'night' club in Ealing

There's a shiny new Women's Institute (WI) starting in Ealing, and founding member Nikki Morton hopes you’ll join her one evening.

Ealing already has a long established WI, but like many WIs they meet during the day, and for many people this is no longer practical. So Nikki and her friends decided to set one up that will meet in the evenings, and that will hopefully attract a wider range of people to come along, learn new things and make new friends.

"I’ve reaped the benefits of being part of a wonderful WI for a couple of years, I joined them as they’re near my office, but I live in Ealing, and having seen some of the brilliant community stuff we’ve been involved in, I’ve thought I’d like that in my community!

I don’t want to sound cheesy, but the WI has given me so much in the couple of years I’ve been a member, and I want to share this with West London!"

Tea and cake is promised, as well as a friendly atmosphere for you to come and try new things, listen to inspiring speakers and share your skills and interests with a group of friendly likeminded women.

You can sign up to the mailing list find them on Twitter Facebook and follow their blog

There's going to be a launch party at the Star and Anchor on the Uxbridge Road on 23rd August from 7.30 to give new members the chance to meet other members and chat to the fledgling committee about what they want from the WI - and in true WI tradition, they're providing cake!

If you would like to attend, or have any questions, you can email the WI on westealingwi@gmail.com
