Villiers High School Ranked in Top One Per Cent Again

The Department for Education has published the national rankings for England’s schools this week showing that Villiers High School in Southall was ranked in the top one per cent.
Of the 7,500 secondary schools in England, Villiers is ranked 27th of all schools and is in the top ten of non-selective, non-denominational schools in England.
The rankings are based on validated examination results and use a Progress 8 measure to compare school performance.
Villiers has now retained its position in the top 1% of all schools in England since summer 2019.
Headteacher Ms Aruna Sharma said, “To retain this exceptional standard for four consecutive years is a phenomenal achievement. We are so proud of the work of our students and staff, and for the support of parents and carers during the examinations.”
Year 12 student Sameer Aqil, who attained a Grade 9 in mathematics stated, “Villiers is an inclusive school which celebrates diversity and challenges us to be ambitious. Our teachers and support staff work so hard to help us to succeed. I am very lucky to be a student here and am currently working towards studying finance at The London School of Economics after my A levels.”
