Suspected Arsonist at Kings George Playing Fields


Police seek further information following a series of fires

Police are appealing for the help in identifying the person or persons involved in suspected arson attacks in the Kings George Playing fields, Lower Boston Road, Hanwell.

There have been three reported incidents of fires being started at the playing fields since July this year.

The first was on 31st July 2011 at approx 0430hrs, was attended by London Fire Brigade (LFB) who extinguished rubbish that had been set alight.

The second incident occurred on 8th August 2011, when, sometime over the weekend, part of a wooden fence was broken off from the play area and set alight.

Most recently, on the evening of 3rd / 4th October, police helped LFB after a large cradle swing was set alight.

PS Naeem Fazel said "We are very keen to speak to anyone who has any information about these arson attacks in King George Playing Fields. It is important that the perpetrator or perpetrators responsible for these attacks are caught before an even more serious incident takes place.”
