Man Dies After Being Hit By Reversing Car on Northfield Avenue

A 66-year-old man has died after being hit by a reversing car on in Ealing this Monday, 21 June.

He is believed to have been standing behind the parked white Toyota Prius on Northfield Avenue at 8.50pm when it started to reverse knocking him to the ground. The car did not remain at the scene.

He was taken to hospital but died on Friday, 25 June. His next of kin has been informed.

Police investigating the incident have traced CCTV and it is thought possible that the driver was unaware of the collision.

Detective Sergeant Rebecca Collens, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "We are attempting to trace the driver of white Toyota Prius who could have vital information about the circumstances of the collision.

"I would also like to hear from anybody who was in the area at around the time of the collision to contact us as a matter of urgency."
