He saw the benefits of 'almost new' shopping after becoming a father
Wimbledon dad Abraham Chowdhury and his friend Barrie Cotton have come up with their own version of a baby fair after they realised the benefits of ‘almost new’ shopping after they became fathers themselves.
Father-of-one Abraham, aged 34, and Barrie, a 53-year-old father-of-two from Twickenham, decided they wanted to make other families aware of what they have found to be a rewarding, fun experience which not only saves you money but also encourages upcycling and reduces waste by giving pre-loved items a second life.
With that in mind, they set up The Wimbledon Papa, Mama & Baby Fair, which takes place on February 17 at The Air Corps centre in Merton Road, South Wimbledon, close to The Broadway. 10.30am-4.30pm.
The event will host a number of local parents selling good quality pre-loved, nearly new items along with a number of local and national companies selling mama and baby items. There will be more than 25 stalls, as well as a kids’ art area.
The event is sponsored by local business Creams British Luxury, based on Wimbledon Broadway. Creams will also be hosting the cafe selling a selection of a selection of teas, macarons and cakes. A sponsored goody bag will be given to the first 50 arrivals.
Entry is £2, but if you use the promo code creams on the ticket checkout page on the following link will get in for free. Click here to find out more and to use your code.
