Burglar Flees After Being Disturbed in Home Park Road

Evades dogs and helicopter after manhunt in early hours of Sunday morning

A burglar fled a home in Wimbledon after being caught in the act in the earlier hours of Sunday morning (6 March).

After fleeing the scene in Home Park Road at about 2.41am Police Dogs and Air Support unit searched the area with response officers from Merton borough but were unable to catch the fugitive.

Police helicopter was involved in search

He is described as a slim man, 5ft 6ins tall wearing a dark grey jacket and loose trousers.
