A great evening for everyone with a love of the spoken word
Nowhere to Belong - Tales of an Extravagant Stranger
Developed with the RSC and directed by Gavin Marshall, this is journalist Yasmin Alibhai-Brown's intense personal memoire. Yasmin Alibhai-Brown explores her life-long love of Shakespeare. Her personal experience of playing Juliet as a teenager in ‘60's Africa sent shockwaves through her family and helped shape the emotional and political landscape of her life.
Provocative and powerful Yasmin Alibhai-Brown is a searing cultural presence.
Yasmin is well known for her regular radio and television broadcasts and columns in the Evening Standard and The Independent. Her published books include No Place Like Home and Some of My Best Friends (a collection of journalistic writing). Memorably in 2003, Yasmin returned her MBE in protest against the war in Iraq.
