Watermans reopens its theatre on Friday 25 June with the first in a new series of Friday Nights Live.

This popular and eclectic programme of music, comedy will be Covid-secure with socially distanced seating, enhanced cleaning and face coverings.

Watermans has received positive feedback on social media already about the way it managed its socially distanced cinema, with comments like: ‘They’ve definitely got the Covid safety measures nailed at Waterman’s and the staff are all so helpful and friendly’.

The programme is as follows:

La Voix: the return of the UK’s funniest redhead
Friday 25 June, 7pm & 9pm. Tickets £15/14
La Voix has packed it by the case load and is heading back to Brentford with her incredible musicians for an unforgettable evening. Sir Ian McKellen said of her, “La Voix’s impersonations are surpassed only by her own cheekily entertaining personality. A genuine one-off!”

Gypsy Hill
Friday 2 July, 8pm. Tickets £15/£14
Featuring guitars, horns, tuba, a scratch DJ and a mix of live and electronic beats, Gypsy Hill effortlessly blend the traditional with a uniquely modern sound - an intoxicating mix of Balkan brass, Mediterranean surf-rock, ska and swing.

Shazia Mirza: Coconut
Friday 9 July, 8pm. Tickets £15/£14
Following the success of her critically acclaimed shows With Love From St. Tropez and The Kardashians Made Me Do It, award-winning stand-up comedian and writer Shazia Mirza takes on the burning (and infectious) issues of our time in her latest show.

Marcel Lucont’s Cabaret Fantasique
Friday 16 July, 8pm. Tickets £15/£14
Marcel Lucont, France’s finest flaneur, returns to Watermans with his international hit show for one night only. The star of Comedy Central At The Comedy Store, Sky Atlantic’s Set List and The John Bishop Show, Marcel will be regaling Brentford with new bawdy poems and soaring miserabilist chansons, and joined by the cabaret songstress Lili La Scala and other special guests to be announced.

Watermans’ cinema and new media art gallery are open too, as well The Guru Tandoori Kitchen.
