Tale be Hold Presents "On Hold"

A personal tale exploring the effects being homesless has on mental health

On Hold

Developed through listening to the experiences of families living in temporary accommodation, ‘On Hold’ is a personal tale, exploring the experience of a mother in a housing limbo, attempting to navigate the ‘system’ whilst holding her family together. This verbatim-led performance explores the effects on mental health the housing crisis causes for the families who are in it.

Hounslow based Tale Be Told Theatre aim to shine a spotlight on the untold stories of people and communities in crisis. Their work is verbatim-led and shaped by communities. Utilising the absurd and surreal within performances to demonstrate situations ridiculous for those within them.

The performance is this Sunday 28th at 2pm at the Waterman’s Arts Centre with a free arts workshop for children of parents attending (must be 5 years and over) to help with childcare.

It’s pay what you decide, though if you are from Brentford Towers, Haverfield, Green Dragon or Clayponds estates or have experience of homelessness or living in temp accommodation then it’s completely free!

The show is 16+ due to themes of the play.

There’s a free arts workshop for children 5+ at the same time for anyone who may struggle with childcare. This must be booked in advance.
