Comedy & Curry Night with Jason Cook & FEAR

Critically acclaimed show comes to the Watermans Arts Centre

After a hugely successful Edinburgh Fringe run award-winning comedian Jason Cook brings his critically acclaimed new show to Brentford

Fear. It’s all around us. It often dictates our lives, but conversely it can also open the door to a realm of weird and wonderful admissions that most of us keep inside.

Following two sold out world tours and multiple five star reviews, Jason Cook brings his third solo show ‘Fear’ to Brentford: an epic tale of one man’s journey through his own psychological minefield.

As with all of Jason’s shows, ‘Fear’ is designed to make people feel something. By addressing his own fears, Jason aims to show people that we’re not alone because we’re all as odd as each other.

“Failing that I’ll just end up looking like a freak for an hour as people stare at me, trying to explain why I am the way I am”

Since his astonishing debut Edinburgh Fringe show “Confessions” in 2007, and the even more critically acclaimed “Joy” in 2008, Jason has gained an army of fans and become renowned for the one thing he guarantees in his shows: total honesty. It’s that honesty that has won him awards and garnered invites to the world’s finest international comedy festivals – invites that are usually reserved for seasoned veterans.

“I’m not sure if this is even a show any more. I think it’s more of a mission. Fear is used to control us, and ultimately prevents us from doing things, from striving to make every day different and really explores this thing we call ‘life’. Fear ultimately leads to regret, and a life filled with regret is no life at all.”

Don’t be scared, everything is going to be OK.

Comedy performances often refer to adult themes and may contain strong language. They are indicated for people aged 18 and over
