"There's something for everyone, from some really reflective, poignant moments at the graveside of Cinderella's mother, to the comedy of the vile stepsisters whose outfits get more and more outrageous. But, at its heart, this fairy tale is a wonderful love story presided over by the Fairy Godmother.

"The show will look fabulous, with beautiful scenery based on snowflakes, and fantastic costumes - and we'll also be using back-projection effects to create ever-changing scenery.

"Children will be enchanted by this wonderful story, adults will be charmed by it and everyone will be surprised by this fresh retelling of a much loved classic. It's going to be a wonderful Christmas show for the whole family to enjoy together.

"The matinee performance on Saturday 5 January will be captioned for deaf, deafened and hard-of-hearing people."
