Dreading cooking the Christmas lunch?

Send the children to the Kids' Cookery School and get them to do it!

The Kids’ Cookery School (KCS) aims to raise awareness of healthy eating and nutrition by offering practical cooking classes to all children from the age of 3 years upwards. At our purpose-designed premises we provide equal opportunities to all children, especially those with special needs and disabilities. KCS is at the forefront of promoting social inclusion working with both children and adults with behavioural and learning difficulties. Our ultimate aim is to pass on a practical knowledge of food and help to build a healthier next generation by establishing more Kids’ cookery schools around the country, targeting the most deprived inner cities.

Since April 2000, KCS has taught over 10,000 children. Of that number, over 30% of our students have special needs, with 47% of assisted places being awarded to children most in need. As a unique registered charity, KCS is encouraging students to recognise the importance of eating a well-balanced diet by cooking with fresh ingredients. KCS provides a motivating, fun and safe learning environment and encourages students to gain confidence and develop their independent, social and personal skills. By booking a private class, you are helping KCS to generate funds to offer more children the opportunity to attend our classes and workshops.
