New Food Market in Vauxhall

Monday - Friday 11.30am - 8pm

A brand new weekday street food market has launched in Vauxhall and we got the chance to sample it yesterday.

Vauxhall Street Food Garden is the first of its kind in the area and offers multi cultural street food cuisines and street food vendors from across the capital and is situated just 1 min walk from it’s well served train station, bus depot and transport links.

The Street Food Garden has been designed especially for the new market and sits away from outside traffic in a self contained area and features Wi-Fi, decking, covered eating areas, dedicated inside and outside bars, comfortable seating areas and greenery.

We tried the pizzas (Molly's Pizza)- which at £5 is remarkably good value and had some of the Indian street food (Ayam Happy Gupta) which again at £5 was well priced and delicious.

Promoter Mark Williams says:

''We’ve been operating as a venue in Vauxhall for over ten years and promoting in the area for many years before that, in recent times we have seen Vauxhall evolving into an extremely vibrant and cosmopolitan area that people often forget is right in the centre of London. With 30 million people passing through Vauxhall’s transport hub every year and ever increasing amount of office space and businesses we felt there was an increasing need to create an unique amazing space for office workers and local residents alike to meet up and enjoy hot and cold food and drink from around the world. We are really excited to offer something different in Vauxhall and will be developing a fantastic early evening entertainment offering in the near future. It’s great to see us evolving alongside our community.’

Street food vendors on rotation: Love Smile Jerk / Tuckers Exotic Meats / Croque Monsieur / Ayam Happy Gupta / Molly’s Pizza / Creparis / Sweet Tooth / Seven Bridges Deli / Smoothies + Craft beer and bespoke bar drinks
