This Thursday at Ealing Town Hall
Fabulous and unusual gifts - mostly hand-made - will be the talk of the Town Hall this week.
Jewellery, hand-made baby clothes, toys, bags, ceramics, photo albums, home produce and lots more are in the offing at year's Ealing 135 Craft Fair. And you won't go hungry. Mince pies and mulled wine are also going to be on sale. There's also a raffle.
Entrance £1. All proceeds go to charity. Sponsored by LOOP, 49 New Broadway, Ealing, London W5 5AH www.loopkids.co.uk
The Ealing 135 Group is a friendly local network based in Acton and Ealing run by and for parents and carers of children from birth to five. We have about 800 local families in our membership. We run play sessions, music groups, open houses, a jigsaw library, second time mothers’ groups, babysitting circles (to name just a few).
Another large part of the group's activities involves raising money for charities, usually with a connection to babies and children. We raise money throughout the year, but in particular at our Spring Fair in May and at our Christmas Gift Fair. Last year more than £2,000 was raised for EASE, a local charity aiming to empower people through education and assistance in job applications. This year the group's nominated charity is the Ealing Hospital Children’s Unit. The funds raised will go towards vital equipment to treat children with asthma.
