The Good Beer Guide is no ordinary pub guide, CAMRA members choose the pubs they would like to enter based on the quality of the beer that is served.  To make sure these pubs continue to serve up outstanding beer, members will make regular visits throughout the year and if they believe the beer quality has fallen below standard they will remove the pubs entry.

To celebrate the Red Lion's fantastic achievement, the West Middlesex branch of CAMRA invited its members and Fuller's employees to a special presentation evening at the pub on Thursday, January 16, 2006.

Branch chairman, Brian Lawrence, presented lessees Jonathan and Victoria Lee with a Special Award certificate, to be displayed in the pub. Brian Lawrence said, " The Red Lion is definitely one of the branch's favourite pubs, it has been in the Good Beer Guide for longer than any of our other pubs and Jonathan and Victoria are excellent licensees".

Jonathan and Victoria were delighted to receive the award. Victoria said "We are very pleased to have such a good relationship with CAMRA - it means a great deal to us and we are very lucky to have such great ales to look after".
