Could you welcome a child into your family?

Ealing Fostering and Adoption Connections want to hear from you

Ealing Fostering & Adoption Connections know there are many people in the community who want to adopt children however they don't know where or how to start the process.

During National Adoption Week (1-7 November 2004), the British Association of Adoption and Fostering is asking people if they can adopt one of the 4,000 children waiting for a family with a campaign supported by adopted TV and radio presenter, Nicky Campbell.

When I was adopted by my parents, I won the lottery. They gave me the love and security to be me. They made me what I am and after searching for and tracing my birth parents, I knew all the more they will always be my mummy and daddy, Mr Campbell said.

According to Felicity Collier, Chief Executive Officer of the British Association of Adoption and Fostering there are so many myths about what makes good adoptive parents and the simple truth is that all kinds of people are suitable.

You don't have to live in a big house, or drive a flashy car. You can be married, single, or living with a partner. You just need to be prepared to adopt a new way of life - and change a life forever.

No matter what form your family takes if you have time and space to welcome a child into your family then call Ealing Fostering and Adoption Connections on Freephone 0800 731 6550 - it's not what you are that matters it's what you have to offer.
