Schools To Shut For Teachers Strike


National stoppage to impact on local children

Parents' are being advised to check with individual schools regarding whether they will be closed, open - or partially open on Thursday (17th October).

More than 2,500 schools across the UK will be affected by the one-day strike.

Of the schools that report to Ealing Council, 33 have informed them that they will be shut, 12 open and 39 partially open.

Academy schools report directly to the governnment, they are:

Alec Reed primary
The Alec Reed Academy
Ark Primary Academy
Brentside primary
Wood End Academy
Drayton Manor
Featherstone High
Twyford High
William Perkin High

 

The teaching unions are angry about changes to pensions, increased workloads and government plans for performance-related pay.
