Money To Improve Your Area

Three projects will share £625,000 of funding

Have you gort a bright idea for a neglected area near you which everyone could benefit from?

Residents have until Sunday, 30 November to nominate locations and come up with suggestions for how they could be improved. It could be a patch of waste ground which could be turned into a new green space or an outdoor picnic area.

Project ideas will need to be submitted via www.spacehive.com/ealingyourspace, and generate support from friends and neighbours in their community.

The successful three projects will be announced in spring 2015 and will share £625,000 of council funding.

Cabinet member for environment and transport, Councillor Bassam Mahfouz, said: “We are really pleased with the response so far, but know there are pockets across the borough which, with a bit of TLC, could be better used by the local community.

“We want to make sure that the projects we choose have a high impact on the local area and help to improve people’s lives. All you need is an idea and we will help you do the rest.”

Project ideas should be submitted to www.spacehive.com/ealingyourspace, by midnight on Sunday, 30 November.
