Further arrests made overnight and more expected

Ealing Borough Police had a high number of officers on duty yesterday to provide security and reassurance to the local community following the disorder over recent days. Overnight we have made further arrests with more to come and we continue to proactively investigate these crimes.

We will continue to have extra officers on the streets of Ealing over the coming days and your local Safer Neighbourhoods will be patrolling the area to offer further security and reassurance. We will tackle any further disorder whilst continuing to deal with normal policing across the borough and keeping our people and businesses safe. Officers from Ealing will be working closely with you to assess any impact of the London-wide disorder.

We are very much working towards empowering the community to get back to business as usual, however these are still testing times and I urge the public to remain vigilant and report any information you have to police. If you do experience further disorder, I urge you to contact police and not take steps to try and intervene yourselves, this will put you and others in danger - please allow the police to tackle these crimes.

I will be holding further meetings today with key partners to discuss the latest developments. We will keep you updated on this situation and advise you accordingly.
