The key to finding an elderly woman who disappeared from her home in Scotland over two years ago may be in Southall.

Mrs Raj Kaur (86) was last seen by her family at their home in Blackstone Crescent, Pollok, in October 2010 as she left for the Sikh Temple in Berkley St, near Charing Cross in Glasgow.

She is originally from Afghanistan, and described as of Asian appearance, 5 ft 5 ins height, of slim build, with brown eyes and grey hair. When last seen she was wearing traditional type clothing, which was long and white, and a white veil.

She speaks Punjabi but not English. She is generally in good health but suffers from high blood pressure and due to her age and lack of contact; there are concerns for her safety and wellbeing.

Since December 2012, when she was reported missing to police, officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries with friends and family in Glasgow and in London where it is believed she may have contacts in the Southall area.

Inspector Paul Quinn, Pollok Police Office, is appealing for information. He said:"We know that Mrs Kaur used to visit the Sikh temple/Gudwara in Berkley Street, Glasgow, but worshippers there have not seen her for sometime.

"It was thought that she may have travelled to Southall, however, this has not been confirmed.

""We have been working closely with her family in Glasgow, however, I would ask that Mrs Kaur herself or anyone who knows of her whereabouts contact Pollok Police Office on 0141 532 5600 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or their local police office as a matter
of urgency and tell us what they know."
