London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWH) has opened nominations for its 2025 Staff Excellence Awards, inviting patients, families, and colleagues to recognise individuals and teams who have gone above and beyond in delivering care and support over the past year.

The annual awards ceremony, which has previously drawn hundreds of nominations and attendees—including surprise guests such as Amanda Holden in 2023—honours both clinical and non-clinical staff across LNWH’s hospitals and community services. These include Central Middlesex, Ealing, St Mark’s, and Northwick Park hospitals.

This year’s event features 11 award categories, including the newly introduced Patient’s Choice Award, which allows members of the public to nominate staff who have made a meaningful difference to their care experience. Other categories span areas such as innovation, teamwork, leadership, and unsung contributions.

LNWH Chief Executive Pippa Nightingale encouraged nominations, saying: “There is plenty of great work going on so please shout about it. It is the one time of the year when we can celebrate and reflect on the stand-out individuals and teams working in our hospitals. This reflects positively on everyone.”

She added that the 2025 ceremony will also honour long-serving staff with over 25 years of service, acknowledging their dedication to the NHS “through thick and thin.”

Nominations are open until 8 September 2025, and the Trust is urging nominators to provide detailed submissions to help judges make informed decisions. Brief entries may not be considered, so those nominating are asked to include specific examples of excellence and impact.

The LNWH Staff Excellence Awards have grown in prominence in recent years, with past winners recognised for achievements in areas such as patient safety, community outreach, and innovation in care delivery. The awards are supported by LNWH Charity and other local sponsors.
