Angela's New Recipe For Business

Local food company wants to expand and needs your help

Ealing and Acton food guru, Angela Malik, wants to expand her business further this year but needs investors.

She opened The Cook School in Acton in 2009, and last year took her Modern Asian Deli concept to the centre of Ealing.

Now she's looking at more sites possibly in Hammersmith or Shepherds Bush and has launched her pitch on a crowd-funding site called Crowd Cube aiming at raising £350,000.

She says: '' I’m delighted that we’ve now reached the point where we can start on Phase 2. With the original Acton site, Ealing deli and cookery courses all bedding in nicely, it’s now time to set our sights on the bigger picture. Yes! We want to expand the concept into another site and we’re offering friends and patrons a unique chance to get in on our act.''

To invest in the project interested parties have to join up on the Crowd Cube funding site which lists full terms and conditions and advises that '' Potential investors are encouraged to "cross examine" the Company by interactive due diligence and use of the available online forums to bring the "wisdom of the crowd" to bear.''

As well as getting a stake in the Angela Malik brand, the company is offering more incentives - if for example you invest £10 you will be rewarded with a loyalty card giving you 10% discount - if however you have a larger amount and can invest £50,000, you will get a loyalty card, hamper, cookery lesson, master class and Angela herself will cook for you and up to 8 guests in your home.
