Victoria Hall

A jobs fair is to be held at Ealing Town Hall aimed at supporting local people into employment.

The fair, hosted by residential property group A2Dominion, will offer jobs, apprenticeships and training programmes and is being ran in collaboration with Catalyst, Ealing Council, Shepherds Bush Housing, Cape Project, Job centre Plus and employers from across the borough.

Opportunities on offer will include roles in customer service, hospitality, security/stewarding, healthcare, retail, construction and many more. The fair will be free to attend and does not require pre-registration.

Over the past 12 months, A2Dominion has led on seven job fairs in West London in collaboration with other housing associations, supporting over 150 people into employment, 80 into apprenticeships and over 100 referred for employability support.

Dawn Wightman, Director of Housing Services at A2Dominion, said: "The Ealing jobs fair will bring together dozens of partners and employers offering hundreds of jobs and support for residents across the borough. With the arrival of Universal Credit and the impact on people across Ealing, we want to ensure that our tenants and residents can access quality jobs that give them greater independence, control over their lives and help to support their families."

Tony Clements, executive director of regeneration and housing, said: “Supporting our residents into employment, training and apprenticeships is an important priority for the Council. The Ealing Job Fair is a great way for residents to meet with employers and find real opportunities to get work or start training that will improve their prospects.  There are hundreds of jobs on offer in many sectors and professions to suit a wide range of interests and skills.”

The fair will be held from 10am to 3pm on Thursday 24 May at Ealing Town Hall’s Victoria Hall.
