It's Confirmed! Ealing Half-Marathon Volunteers Are The Best
Awarded the 2017 Team London sports award
The many volunteers who make the Ealing Half-Marathon so successful have been received a top London sports award.
They won the Sports category of the 2017 Team London Awards.
The annual ceremony celebrates the individuals, teams and corporate volunteers who make outstanding contributions to their communities in order to make London the best city it can be.
The Ealing Half Marathon volunteers, who play a significant part in helping everything to go smoothly on race day, won the award for their outstanding contribution to volunteering in Sports. It is a huge accolade for the volunteer team and for the Ealing Half Marathon, which is well known for its fantastic atmosphere and outstanding community support. Ealing Half Marathon CIC is also highly respected for its long-standing commitment to invest all money raised by the race straight back into projects within the community.
The Ealing Half Marathon won the Silver award in the Best Half Marathon category (≥ 5,000) at The 2017 Running Awards earlier this year, having been voted the UK’s best half marathon at the same awards in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Voting is now open for The 2018 Running Awards and the Ealing Half has again been nominated: anyone wishing to vote has until 29th November to do so, before the shortlists are announced in December.
Now entering its seventh year, the Ealing Half Marathon has grown quickly to become a firm fixture in the autumn running calendar and a big favourite among the running community. Set up in 2012 as a legacy to London’s Olympic Games, it welcomes of runners of all nationalities wanting to soak up the famous #EalingFeeling and enjoy the attractive course around the leafy West London borough.
The UKA-measured, 13.1-mile course of the Ealing Half Marathon takes runners on closed roads through Central Ealing, Montpelier, Pitshanger, West Ealing, Hanwell and St Stephens before crossing the finish line in Lammas Park.
The 2018 Ealing Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 30th September, with the Ealing Mini Mile and the Family Mile taking place on Saturday 29th September.

The 2018 Ealing Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 30th September and discounted early bird entries are available until 31st January 2018, costing £38 (affiliated) or £40 (unaffiliated).
