Ealing Man Appears in Court Charged With Murdering Mum of Three


Ruby Love's body found on Christmas Day

A man has appeared at the Old Bailey charged with murdering a mother-of-three whose body was found in a canal in Southall on Christmas Day.

Ruby Love, 23, from Harrow, north-west London, was discovered in the Grand Union Canal by a passer-by at Bankside, Southall, at 11:40am.

The Old Bailey remanded Manzar Juma, 27, of Hexham Gardens Ealing, in custody until a hearing on 6 April.

Ms Love's 45-year-old mother Precious was in court for the brief hearing.

The death is being investigated by the Homicide and Serious Crime Command and an Incident room has opened at Hendon led by Detective Chief Inspector Tim Duffield.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed anything suspicious near the area on, or before Christmas Day.
