Detectives are continuing their appeal for witnesses following a disturbance between three men and a woman at Ealing Common Tube station earlier this month.

Police were called to the station around 2.50pm following the incident but the attacker had fled before officers arrived on scene.

A 20-year-old man from Acton was seriously assaulted during the incident and required medical attention from London Ambulance Service (LAS) for a wound to his back.

The victim was taken to Central Middlesex Hospital and was later discharged.

“We have made extensive local enquiries, spoken with witnesses and reviewed CCTV from the station,” said Detective Sergeant Anthony Jones, the investigating officer, “and we are also asking for help from any members of the public who may have see anything or who may have any information that can assist our investigation.

“We know that the man and woman pictured in the CCTV images were at the station around the time of the incident and are keen to identify them.

“I am treating this incident very seriously. This was a vicious attack on a man who was simply making his way to college and I am asking anyone with any information about this assault, or who recognises the man or woman pictured in the CCTV images, to come forward.”

“We are working to trace any other witnesses and I ask anyone who was at the station at the time to contact police.”

Detectives believe the man and woman pictured in the CCTV images may have significant information that can assist their investigation.
