Kent Millward gets life for killing Harminder Wahid
A Hanwell man has received a life sentence after being convicted of stabbing a man to death after falling out with him at a party.
Kent Millward aged 59 of Wicklow Court Hanwell, W7 appeared at the Central Criminal Court and was found guilty of the murder of Harminder Wahid last year. Millward was sentenced to life imprisonment to serve a minimum of 15 years.
On the evening of Thursday 18th May 2006 the two, who were friends, fell out at a party being held at Millward's address in Hanwell. This resulted in Millward and 23 year old Harminder having an argument on the steps of the flat and Millward stabbing him. He was taken to Ealing Hospital where he died later that evening of three stab wounds to the chest.
Millward was arrested within an hour of the murder, he admitted to killing Harminder and directed police to the knife that he had used then returned to his kitchen.
DI Michael Foote said: "I am pleased with the decision of the court to find Millward guilty of Harminder's murder. Harminder was loved by his family and my thoughts are with them."
