New Academic Year - New Leaf

Adult education courses starting in September

Enrol now to secure a place on one of the new 2015/16 Ealing adult learning courses starting this autumn at community venues across the borough.

From stress management to animal care and dancing to bricklaying, the courses are open to all adults. Some courses lead to formal qualifications.

Qualification courses include GCSE maths and English and an introduction to ICT to help people improve their basic skills, as well as vocational courses such as childcare, health and social care and supporting teaching and learning.  There are also courses tailored to meet the needs of adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.

Concessions are available for those over 65 and some people on means-tested benefits or who are taking a qualification to gain employment.

Councillor Steve Hynes, Cabinet member for prosperity, skills and employment, said: “We’ve greatly expanded the courses on offer this year so whether you want to improve your career prospects or try a new hobby, there’s something to suit everyone.  The courses are also really great value, so I’d definitely encourage people to enrol as soon as possible to make sure they don’t miss out.”

To book a course, visit www.ealing.gov.uk/adultlearning and complete the online enrolment form, email adultlearning@ealing.gov.uk or call 020 8825 5577.  Courses beginning in 2016 will be available to book online later this year.
