Ealing Borough Gets Ready for King's Coronation
12,000 metres of bunting provided to decorate town centres
The decorations will be the equivalent of 7 and a half miles long

All of the town centres in the borough of Ealing are to be decorated with around 7 and a half miles of bunting to be displayed to celebrate the Coronation.
In addition, over 190 grants of £150 have been given to local residents organising events as King Charles III and Queen Camilla are crowned.
The council’s leader, Councillor Peter Mason, put up the first piece of bunting on 20 April. The 12,000 metres of decorations have been supported by Enerveo and Murrill Construction Ltd.
There is weekend of special events planned across the boroughbetween 6 and 8 May.
Tickets for an event in Walpole Park on 6 May have all gone and you are advised not to turn up on the day if you didn’t get a ticket to avoid overcrowding.
However you can still head over to Acton Park and Northala Fields for evening events between 6pm and 10pm including food, drinks and fireworks. No ticket is required for these two events but you are advised not to bring your dog due to the firework display.
Please note these evening events might not be suitable for dogs due to fireworks. Also, consider leaving your car at home to ease parking congestion.
Ealing Council leader, Councillor Peter Mason commented, “The King’s coronation will be a special moment, and a wonderful opportunity for us to come together to express our civic pride and celebrate together.
“I hope you will take advantage of the chance to join in the festivities to mark this historic event. We are looking forward to taking part, and to seeing celebration photos from across the borough.”
Councillor Jasbir Anand, cabinet member for thriving communities, said, “Preparations are underway in Ealing to welcome King Charles III and Queen Camilla. We hope you can join in the various events where we have prepared a diverse programme of local artists and performers to make celebrations even more special.”
