Council Tightens Security After Town Hall Break-in


Equipment damaged but nothing appears stolen

Police are investigating reports of a break-in at Ealing Town Hall.

It happened in the evening of Monday January 4 and several rooms in Ealing Town Hall, including the Labour Group and Cabinet offices were targeted.

A council spokeswoman confirmed the break-in and said:

"Drawers were forced open and computer equipment damaged but no documents or information appear to have been stolen.

"The Police are investigating and security arrangements at the Town Hall have been tightened."
