More Accolades For Ealing's Favourite

First they took the Good Food Guide and now .....

Ealing's favourite neighbourhood restaurant, Charlotte's Place, has been awarded two rosettes by the AA - which means - as we already knew - it is 'excellent'.

It's the latest national accolade for our ever popular local lunch and dining room.

In May, owner Alex Wrethman and team were delighted to be chosen as the London regional winner in the prestigious 'Good Food Guide Readers’ Restaurant of the Year Awards'. They recently held a thank-you party for staff and supporters .

The long-established AA Rosette scheme is based on one or more visits by an AA inspector to a hotel or restaurant. The entire meal, including ancillary items is assessed.

About 10% of restaurants nationwide are of a standard that is worthy of One Rosette and above.

The AA say this alone is a huge achievement - but awarded Charlotte's Place not one but TWO rosettes.

According to their definition two rosettes are for

'' Excellent restaurants that aim for and achieve higher standards and better consistency. A greater precision is apparent in the cooking, and there will be obvious attention to the selection of quality ingredients. Around 40% of restaurants/hotels within our AA Restaurant Guide have Two Rosettes.'

AA Rosettes are solely awarded by AA Hotel and Restaurant Inspectors.

Naturally Alex Wrethman is delighted with this latest award and has tweeted: ''Thank you so much to @aahotels for awarding @charlottesw5 2 AA Rosettes today. A huge pat on the back for chef Greg Martin and the team!''

Congratulations once again to Charlotte's Place!
