Four men have been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary in areas of London including Ealing following a series of early morning raids yesterday(Wed 26th September).

Two further arrests have also been made, bringing the total to seven.

The intelligence-led operation codenamed Decker, identified a gang responsible for approx 12 burglaries at addresses in Kensington, Brent, Ealing and Fulham.

A number of high-value motor vehicles have been stolen at these addresses.

Items seized by police include a quantity of luxury watches, designer clothing and cash.

Detective Chief Inspector Rhys Willis, of the Kensington and Chelsea Crime Squad, said:

"This morning's operation is a clear warning to all burglars that we will do everything in our power to catch and convict them.

''Operation Decker is a Kensington & Chelsea Borough local initiative to drive down burglary offences and take the fight to the criminals. It illustrates that we will utilise all types of technology available to use in order to identify the activities of criminal gangs.

"There is a distinct link between this gang and highly organised criminality. Today's day of action should highlight to the community and importantly the gang members that we are vigorous in our pursuit to catch and bring them to justice. Our joint work with the local authority to tackle criminals will continue."

The four men between 18-22 have been remanded in custody at appear at Hammersmith Magistrates' Court later today.

The raids involved officers from across the Metropolitan Police Service, including specialist teams from the Territorial Support Group and Specialist Crime and Operations Command.
