Officers from South Acton Safer Neighbourdood Team who arrested a man for drugs offences also found bullets and a variety of weapons.

On Wednesday 11 April at approximately 1pm, officers were on foot patrol in Hart Grove, W5.

They came across a man in a car in possession of cannabis, and further checks revealed a kitchen knife and a weights bar bell and a further quantity of cannabis.

The man, aged 19, was arrested for the following offences:

Possession of Cannabis
Possession with intent to supply Class B drugs
Handling Stolen Goods
Section 1 Firearms Ammunition
Possession of Offensive Weapon (x 2)

A search was carried out at the man's property where police recovered more cannabis, a set of scales, a large quantity of cash and also two live bullets believed to be active 9mm.

The man has since been bailed to return to a West London Police Station in May 2012 pending further enquiries.

Sergeant Darren Gray, South Acton Safer Neighbourhoods Team said: 'This is an excellent result for the officers and they deserve the praise, it shows what a basic foot patrol by Safer Neighbourhoods officers with the knowledge can achieve'.
