New adult learning courses will start in January, including computer skills, DIY, art and languages.

Ealing Council’s adult learning service offers courses that take place in a variety of locations across the borough. They are open to people aged 19 years and over, and are designed to help residents in both their personal and professional development.

There are a range of classes which are tailored towards getting fit and staying healthy such as zumba and yoga, as well as development of leisure skills including, guitar lessons and oil painting. Residents can also improve their job skills with courses covering CV writing, interview techniques and First Aid.

Course guides are available upon request by emailing adultlearning@ealing.gov.uk or by calling 020 8825 5577. They can also pick up a copy from local libraries and community centres.

The easiest way to join up is by downloading and printing off an enrolment form from the website and going along to a face-to-face enrolment session. These sessions take place before the start of each term at various locations; Northolt Library, Dominion Centre, Twyford High School, Greenford Community Centre, Greenford Library, Ealing Library and Longfield House. If you are unable to attend these sessions, you can take your enrolment form to Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, W5 2HL on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays only from 9.30am – 4.30pm.

Discounts are available for those in receipt of a means-tested benefit such as Job Seeker’s Allowance, income support, housing or council tax benefit or guaranteed pension or working tax credit. Proof of nationality, benefit entitlement and prior qualifications (if required) must be produced at time of enrolment.
