Tube Strikes Suspended After Talks Make Progress
TfL agrees to not change working arrangements without agreement
Aslef organiser Finn Brennan says agreement reached after two days' of talks

The strike by tube drivers that was expected to bring most of London Underground to a standstill next Monday (1 April) has been suspended.
Their union Aslef said that key issues in the dispute had been resolved with TfL after talks. Finn Brennan, Aslef’s organiser on London Underground said, “We’ve made really good progress during two days of quite intense negotiations at ACAS.”
The strike planned for 4 May is also now not going to take place.
A spokesperson for Aslef said, "Management have confirmed that they have disbanded their 'Trains Modernisation' team and will not be implementing their plans to changes drivers' working arrangements without agreement.
"They have also agreed to reinstate annual refresher training [that was] stopped during the pandemic."
In addition, an extra team of transport support and security officers to help make the Night Tube safer, particularly for drivers at the far end of lines who often have to deal with problems on their own.
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan said, "Good news for Londoners: Monday's tube strike is no longer going ahead.
"This demonstrates - once again - what can be achieved by talking and engaging with transport staff and trade unions rather than working against them."
The nation strike by Aslef drivers is continuing. This will impact Great Western Railway on Saturday 6 April with South Western Railway and Southern/Gatwick Express hit on Monday 8 April.
In addition, there is an overtime ban from Thursday 4 to Saturday 6 April and on Tuesday 9 April which will affect services on these days.
