School's Nearly Out For Summer!

Don't panic - there are some activities that don't cost a fortune

Families in Ealing can make the most of the summer holidays by signing up to a wide range of children’s activities, including drama workshops, sports camps and arts projects.

A series of ‘Summer Activities 2011’ booklets are now available from Ealing Council’s Family Information Service. They bring together information about free and low-cost courses, holiday playschemes and multi activity weeks taking place across the borough over July and August.

With a variety of prices, activities, dates and times, there is something to suit almost everyone. Many of the activities also have facilities for children with additional needs and disabilities.

Councillor Patricia Walker, cabinet member for Children and Young People said: “The long summer holidays can be a challenging time for parents- especially if they work. These booklets make it easier for families by bringing information about childcare, courses and activities available in Ealing together into one place.”

‘Summer Activities 2011’ booklets will be given out to primary school children and are also available in the borough’s libraries, leisure centres and community centres from Monday 11 July. Copies are also available by emailing the Family Information Service at children@ealing.gov.uk or calling 020 8825 5588.
