Boston Parade post office stays open after extensive lobbying

Post Office Ltd have lifted the threat of closure from the Boston Parade post office in Northfield Ward after extensive lobbying from local residents and Ealing Council.

Cllr Leonora Thomson, deputy leader of the council said, "This is really good news for local people and businesses who rely on having the post office nearby.   We worked hard earlier on this year to try and persuade the Post Office not to close so many branches in Ealing, so I am pleased that the post office has listened to some of our concerns.

"However, the Post Office has stated that the branch's survival depends upon its continued usage, so I would urge everyone who has campaigned to keep it open to make sure that they continue to keep using it."
