Profit Surge for Local Parking Contractor

Mouchel Parkman Reports Orders Boost

Controversial local parking contractor Mouchel Parkman has reported a massive surge in profits. At the same time as the announcement they also revealed a host of new contracts.

The firm which handles transport matters in Ealing Borough including the implementation of Controlled Parking Zones saw a 37% increase in pre-tax profits to £6.1 million. Their contract with Ealing has recently been extended by a year.

Recent implementations of new CPZs across the borough have given rise to many complaints from local residents about lack of consultation and notice. Some new parking zones were delayed for several months with no updates being given to local residents. Many local businesses have been dismayed to find that parking restrictions have been put in place without Pay and Display bays being provided for their customers.

Chief executive Richard Cuthbert called the results “an excellent start” and expressed confidence in the group’s prospects.

The company which is based in West Byfleet, Surrey, has withdrawn from South Africa and Singapore during the period to reduce its exposure to overseas markets..
