Your chance to find out

Ealing Council will be holding a series of public events over the next six weeks to help prepare a plan for the future development of the borough.

Called the Local Development Framework, the 15-year plan contains proposals on a range of important subjects that will affect everyday life including the creation of new housing and community facilities, the creation of new jobs and the protection of our environment right up until 2026.

The council is also updating its Local Implementation Plan to make sure that the borough’s transport services are being developed and maintained in line with the Mayor of London’s Transport Strategy.

Ealing Council is inviting residents to share their views on these proposals at meetings being held at a range of venues across the borough. There are also two youth conferences and some smaller workshops scheduled.

The consultation period has already begun and the draft documents can be viewed online at www.ealing.gov.uk/planpol. Printed copies are also at libraries and in Customers Services Centre at the council offices next to the Town Hall.

Council Leader, Councillor Julian Bell, said: “These proposals are going to affect everyone’s life in Ealing for the next 15 years, and we want to hear what people think about them.
