Richmond, 4 July 2016. The Holly Lodge Centre in Richmond Park today received a cheque for £30,000 as one of the two beneficiaries of the Richmond May Ball held on 13 May under the giant marquee on the Green in Richmond.

The cheque was presented by Bob Harris, Chairman of the Richmond May Ball and Gillian Thorpe of the Ball committee. Receiving the cheque on behalf of the Holly Lodge Centre was Mike Smythe, Chairman of the Centre’s trustees, and Anna King, Centre Manager.

“We are extremely grateful to the Richmond May Ball committee for this marvellous contribution to the Centre,” said Mike Smythe. “This will allow us to expand our ability to bring groups to this outstanding educational facility in Richmond Park. Last year nearly 6000 young people and adults – many with special educational and physical needs – took advantage of the Centre’s facilities to learn about the nature and history of the Park. Our goal is to bring ever more groups to the Centre to share the wonders of Richmond Park and also to enhance their knowledge and appreciation of the natural world.”
