Following the demolition of the final section of Power Road Bridge, TfL will be proceeding with the installation of new concrete beams, which will support the road over the bridge. Resulting lane closures may lead to increased traffic congestion in the area.

Over the weekend of 5/6 and 12/13 May they will be using cranes to move precast concrete beams into position. On both weekends the works will begin from 9pm on the Saturday night and continue through to 6pm on Sunday evening.

The A406 Gunnersbury Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction during the above times.

Bus passengers Route 440 will run as normal throughout these works. However some journeys during this period may take slightly longer due to the lane reduction over the bridge.

Cyclist and pedestrian access will be maintained across the bridge at all times. Any temporary changes will be clearly signed.

Bus route 440 serving Stop D (Power Road) may be affected by increased traffic in the area surrounding Power Road.

Work to rebuild the new eastern section of Power Road Bridge will continue until autumn 2018, when TfL plan to reopen all four lanes on Gunnersbury Avenue.

The final works, including reopening of the footways and cycle routes across the bridge, are planned for completion by summer 2019.
