Man Dies Following Fire In Southall


Two fire engines attend blaze in Fleming Road

A man has died following a fire in a flat in Southall early today (July 8).

Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers were called to a flat on Fleming Road, in the early hours of this morning shortly after 1 am.

London Fire Brigade said a man was brought out of the 11th floor flat by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Half of the flat was damaged by the blaze.

The fire was under control at around 3am.

Fire crews from Southall, Ealing, Northolt and Heston fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
