Crossrail Notification of Local Disruption Next Week


Piling work at Ealing Broadway may cause some noise through night

As part of the Railway Upgrade Plan, Network Rail is undertaking works in the Ealing Broadway area on behalf of Crossrail.

The work at Ealing Broadway station will be to install one pile foundation for an overhead equipment gantry on platform 1.

Due to the proximity of the works to high speed trains and overhead electric lines, this work can only be completedduring night shiftsbetween 23:00 and 04:00 when no trains are running on the adjacentlines.

This work is planned to take place overnight on Tuesday 15 into the early hours of Wednesday 16March withcontingency shifts for the following twonights (Wednesday 16 / Thursday 17& Thursday 17 / Friday 18 March 2016).

This piling activity will be loud but will take place only for a short duration during the night.Our contractor has worked closely with London Borough of Ealingto secureappropriate consents for the works to proceed.

Crossrail apologise for any disruption this work may cause and say they will endeavour to minimise the impact on local residents and station users.

Those working on site will be briefed on their obligations to work considerately.
